As you have probably already figured out, I love industrial home decor. Yes, I like furnishings beyond just lights. =)
However, it’s not that frequent that I run across an industrial light fixture that also has a creative flair. I’m talking about something that looks custom-made and more like a sculpture or piece of art.
That’s what I think about this wood beam chandelier. It makes a statement and is definitely a conversation starter when you have guests over.
How to Use this Industrial Chandelier as the Focal Point of the Room
It makes a great centerpiece over a dining room table, a kitchen island or a bar. That said, it can look very attractive in an office, living room or even a front entryway.
Personally, I wouldn’t clutter the space with a lot of other decorations because that would detract from the appeal of this industrial light. Keep it simple. This chandelier can take the jobs of both a functional piece of furniture as well as decorative art for the room.
No Loft Needed!
Don’t think that you have to live a loft or warehouse to enjoy this hanging lamp either. This distressed wood beam and steel light fixture has a very rustic look. This would look perfect in a cabin or ranch-style home or one that incorporates dark wood into the decor.
The bulbs also can be dimmed, which I think really adds to the ambiance of the space. If you want to serve a romantic dinner or watch a movie while still having accent lighting, you’ll totally like this light.
What Do I Think About the Price?
This designer centerpiece is not cheap, though. It costs about $375. That said, it actually costs much less than I expected. I have a friend who spent over $3,000 for an antler chandelier. Compared to that, this is a deal (and easier to hang at under 20 lbs!).
Another feature that I really appreciate about this one-of-a-kind-looking wood beam light is that arrives pretty much pre-assembled. All you need to do is have it installed and then adjust the light cords to your liking. Oh, and pick the bulbs you like. (ie. Dimmable Edison Bulbs, Vintage Style or or LED Bulbs, Edison Style).
